Accessibility Statement

This is a translation provided for convenience. In case of any discrepancy, the Hebrew version is binding.

We consider it of the utmost importance to provide equal, respectful and accessible service to all visitors, including people with disabilities. The site was built with accessibility in mind from the start, and we work on improving it continuously.

Accessibility features on the site

The site includes the following features, available to every visitor:

  • Full keyboard navigation, including in the interactive practice tools (tabs, chord selection, metronome).
  • A "Skip to main content" link at the top of every page.
  • A proper heading structure, ARIA labels and descriptions for interactive controls, and text descriptions for chord diagrams and images.
  • Colour contrast meeting WCAG level AA for regular text.
  • Full right-to-left support in Hebrew and left-to-right in English and Russian.
  • The rhythm trainers provide both visual and audio feedback, so they can be used without hearing and without seeing the page.
  • Responsive design that works on small screens and with browser zoom up to 200%.

The accessibility widget

Every page has a floating accessibility button (in the corner of the screen). The widget was developed by us and offers the following adjustments:

  • Text enlargement in three steps.
  • High contrast.
  • Stop animations and motion.
  • Highlight links.
  • Readable font.
  • Increased line spacing.
  • Reset all settings with one click.

Saving your settings

The adjustments you choose are stored only in your browser (Local Storage) and load automatically on your next visits. They are not sent to us and are not used for identification.

Standard

We aim to comply with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA, which form the basis of Israeli Standard SI 5568.

Legal information and exemption

The Academy is a small business at the start of its journey. Under the Israeli Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities Regulations (Service Accessibility Adjustments), 2013 – Regulation 35 (exemption due to low turnover) – the site is exempt from full technological accessibility adjustments and from formally appointing an accessibility coordinator.

Despite the exemption, we choose to do our best to make the site accessible to every visitor and to respond personally to every request.

Known limitations

Chord diagrams may be read by screen readers as a general description only ("How to play Am") rather than a full fingering breakdown. We are exploring ways to deepen the text description.

If you encounter any other difficulty, we would be glad to know and fix it.
